This is the best itinerary and all inclusive package to enjoy Cusco, Sacred Valley & Machu Picchu at its finest and travel on the exclusive and luxurious Belmond Hiram Bingham train
Cusco was the capital of the Inca empire called Tawantinsuyo. Cusco, the “navel of the world” is considered the archeological capital of South America and a cultural legacy of Humanity. With no doubt, Cusco is the most important tourist destination in Peru because of Machu Picchu. The streets of the city are over flowing with our country’s history. One can observe the different stages of the evolution from ancient times until the Conquest and its consequences. It also has several old majestic cathedrals and numerous museums to explore.
The Sacred Valley of the Incas Tour, is a specially designed itinerary which no one else offers. We have created it, so you get to enjoy the best highlights of the Sacred Valley, such as the archeological sites of Pisac and Ollantaytambo, animal sanctuary, and the archeological site of Moray and the Salt Mines, rather than just focusing on the various shopping centers. All of this is provided in a small private tour with a guide that is passionate about Inca history.
Travel through Sacred Valley on the exclusive and luxurious Belmond Hiram Bingham train and enjoy the elegant dining car, the bar car and observatory, where you can take in the scenery in the open air while sipping on a traditional Peruvian cocktail and listening to live local music. Once aboard, the maître will invite you to a brunch and gourmet lunch. The return trip includes a fine dining experience at dinner. In both cases, you can accompany your meals with beverages (non-premium) and an excellent wine selection.
As you travel on the train you’ll enjoy unmatched and mesmerizing panoramic views, as you pass by the ancient towns of the Incas. You travel through the alpine meadows nestled amongst the green, brown and white peaks, the intricately formed valleys, layers of hand made Inca farming terraces, ridgid snowcapped mountains and sub-tropical jungle near the Amazon up to Aguas Calientes.
Begin your connection to the natural world and cultural show at the citadel of Machu Picchu (2,400m/7907ft), catch yourself as you travel back in time to this magical place, sacred and mysterious, with the name of Machu-Picchu, “The Old Sacred Mountain.” Enjoy your private tour and take your time exploring the magestic Machu Picchu, the Incan ruins rich in history of its past and the thriving culture of the people who once resided there.
