6:20 am: We pick you up at your hotel and drive 15 minutes towards the bus station
7:00 am: Departure from Cusco
8:00 am: Enjoy the guided tour of the Sistine Chapel of America, the church of Saint Peter Apostle of Andahuaylillas, built by the Jesuits in the 16th century. Like other Spanish and religious constructions of this time, it was built on top of a huaca or sacred place for the Incas. Made of adobe and brick the church is a small structure consisting of one nave, apse and bell tower. There is a reason why it’s known as the Sistine Chapel of America.
10:40 am: Explore the amazing archeological site of Raqchi
You will enjoy a 40 minute guided tour. The most important building inside the complex is Wiracocha temple, according to the old chroniclers it was built by the Inca Wiracocha in honor to the Superior God for the Andean people: Apu Kon Titi Wiracocha. The temple of Wiracocha was viewed as a large construction for that time. Architectonically, it is classified as Kallanka, that is, a high building completely covered with straw (wood and “ichu”). Externally, it is 92 meters long (302 feet) and 25.25 meters wide (83 feet).
12:00 am: Buffet Lunch in Sicuani
Sicuani is a relatively large highland town. The town is a major intersection with the road to Puno/Arequipa passing through it. It is surrounded by some very pretty hills. You will enjoy a buffet lunch in our exclusive restaurant with a family atmosphere.
1:40 pm: Take some great photos of the pass, La Raya, which is the frontier between Cusco and Puno. The Altiplano drains into Lake Titicaca and leads down the valley to Cusco and the Sacred Valley. The altitude is (4,338 m/14,232 feet)
3:00 pm: Visit the Pukara Museum
Pukara was the first regional population center in the northern Lake Titicaca Basin during the Late Formative Period 500 BC- 200 AC, providing valuable insights of the origins of Andean civilization in the Altiplano. During its peak it covered, over one square kilometer and housed thousands of bureaucrats, priests, artisans, farmers, herders and possibly warriors. The Pukara style is identified by impressive monolithic sculptures with a variety of geometric, zoomorphic and anthropomorphic images plus intricate multi-colored pottery in a variety of ritual and domestic forms.
5:30 pm: Arrival at Puno, at the bus terminal for Turismo Mer

The briefing will take place the night before the trek at 6pm in our office, which is located at Calle Santa Teresa Nº383 ; 107 (second floor). We are next to SUBWAY sandwich shop and share a lobby with Hotel Casona Corrales.
HOW TO BOOK THE TOUR?
Please be ready with the following information (FROM EACH PARTICIPANT in your group). We cannot purchase your Bus to Puno from Cusco without the following information:

SECOND, we require a deposit of $53.00 USD per person in order to purchase a your entrance to Machu Picchu and train ticket. You can make you deposit by clicking on the VISA or PAYPAL symbols on the top of our home page, or you can click on the VISA or PAYPAL symbols on our booking page.
MAY I CHANGE THE DEPARTURE DATE AFTER THE TICKETS HAVE BEEN BOUGHT?
Unfortunately ,the answer is No. Once the tickets have been bought the government does not allow any changes, so we can’t change any departure date after the tickets has been bought. Tickets are also not transferable nor refundable. If you Bus to Puno from Cusco, the deposit is not refundable at all!
